The Piggles' Winter Treat

The Piggles' Winter Treat is the first book in a series about the Piggles. Squiggle and his sister Wriggle, and their toddler brother Giggle, live in Pigglemere in the English Lake District, a village strangely similar to Grasmere, also a village in Cumbria. In the book, Giggle wonders why Squiggle and Wriggle are being so secretive, but the twins are planning a surprise for their little brother.

The Piggles first appeared as toys in Woman's Weekly magazine designed by Alan Dart, then their resident toy designer, and illustrated by Malcolm Bird, another regular contributor to the magazine.
