A brand-new standalone in the New York Times bestselling Briar U series!
What I learned after last year’s distractions cost my hockey team our entire season? No more screwing up. No more screwing, period. As the new team captain, I need a new philosophy: hockey and school now, women later. Which means that I, Hunter Davenport, am officially going celibate…no matter how hard that makes things.
But there’s nothing in the rulebook that says I can’t be friends with a woman. And I won’t lie—my new classmate Demi Davis is one cool chick. Her smart mouth is hot as hell, and so is the rest of her, but the fact that she’s got a boyfriend eliminates the temptation to touch her.
Except three months into our friendship, Demi is single and looking for a rebound.
And she’s making a play for me.
Avoiding her is impossible. We’re paired up on a yearlong school project, but I’m confident I can resist her. We’d never work, anyway. Our backgrounds are too different, our goals aren’t aligned, and her parents hate my guts.
Hooking up is a very bad idea. Now I just have to convince my body—and my heart.

Hunter & Demi <3
I have discovered elle kennedy and read all of the off campus/brair u series this month (in random order but now im planning to start from the beginning and read through them in order). I really enjoy the authors writing style because it is believable and she makes things relatable. She's so good that I now want to watch hockey even though I never was interested in it. Had to ask my coworker to help me out with that since shes super into hockey.
The story of Hunter & Demi is my 2nd favorite (the 1st being Garrett and Hannah) i like how diverse the characters were in this one and how she wrote them organically and not just forcing the characters to be diverse just for the sake of it. Reading the earlier books after this had me excited anytime Hunter appeared in them knowing that eventually he would find the one for him.
I would recommend this story as one of the books for any of my friends to read if they don't want to read the full series.
Hilarious and a great read!
this book was most definitely 5 stars!! the book was hilarious throughout but the characters had great chemistry!! such a good read, i definitely recommend!!
