THE PLUS-ONE PROBLEM

Lucy Bennett only meant to invent a boyfriend — not accidentally choose the one man in the office who could make the lie look real.
Ben Carter is organised, infuriatingly calm, and the last person Lucy should fake-date at a company event. But when one harmless lie turns them into the office’s hottest secret couple, backing out suddenly becomes much more complicated.
One shared hotel room. One bed. A disastrous family weekend. A jealous ex. A terrifyingly perceptive aunt. And one very inconvenient attraction neither of them planned for.
As pretending starts to feel dangerously real, Lucy and Ben must navigate workplace gossip, career opportunities, long-distance decisions and a family that is already planning their future before they have even figured it out themselves.
But when misunderstandings threaten to destroy the one relationship Lucy never expected to want, she may have to do something completely ridiculous to prove that this time she isn’t pretending.
Warm, witty and packed with chemistry, chaos and laugh-out-loud family interference, The Plus-One Problem is a feel-good romantic comedy about fake dating, real feelings and discovering that sometimes the biggest risk is the one worth taking.
