Perfect ending for Aaron and Jason!
This series had me guessing throughout. It was so unpredictable. It had me at the edge of my seat, my stomach clenched so tightly that it hurt. It was also so riveting that I didn't want to go to the bathroom until I finished. Yep, I finished this in one sitting - it was that good. I was rooting for the characters: Aaron, Jason, Tim and Griffin, especially Aaron who went through so much torment and abuse.
I had to get used to the flashbacks style but once I got used to it, I realized the ingeniousness of the author, Emily Carrington. It was so perfect! She's now one of my favorite authors!

Still a harsh story.
I skipped around this story. Lots of cruelty and horrific events. I guess the strength of human nature is the best thing to say about the story. Aaron and Jason still trying to make life work for them. The time jump is very distracting. Vince makes sure they are challenged. I struggled with this story and liked this even less than the first one. I received an ARC from Booksprout and am leaving a review.
