A Mixed Bag
The updated information is a nice addition, but Greg Paul’s personal bias of dinosaur classification and removal of some great skeletals makes it hard to completely enjoy. The previous editions showed more care into framing the gorgeous artwork as well as text and sketches/skeletals, but in this edition all of it is just slapped on the page where ever there is room giving some pages very messy designs. The skeletals though are overall pretty good with a lot of updates. A handful of genera are sadly not updated or have their skeletals removed. Overall this edition was still worth it. I do recommend it for hardcore enthusiasts or paleoartists but for newcomers I would save those $30 for something else.
