Customer Reviews
Scratches the surface, but gives just enough
This book answered a lot of basic questions and laid the foundation for understanding the world of private equity.
However, I could not but help feel like there was a lot more to learn and I was only scratching the very surface of these basic concepts. Keep in mind, I am reading this from the perspective of an attorney in private equity M&A. I bought this book trying to better understand the mind of my clients, and though I better understand what motivates them. I don’t think I walked out of this book knowing much more than I already did.
Easy to read and happy with my purchase, but I do wish there was just a little bit more provided.
Great Guide to Private Equity
This was a great guide to private equity for a beginner. Easy to read and understand, with some practical advice from Adam on the way.
An easy read
This is a quick read which gives you a surface level understanding of VC. Probably good for a very non-quantitative reader.
I was hoping for something with a little bit more explanation of the processes like LBOs and specific examples of waterfalls and other tools they use.
