Why Must We Suffer?
“If God is good and all-powerful, why does he allow his creatures to suffer pain?” And what about the suffering of animals, who neither deserve pain nor can be improved by it? The greatest Christian thinker of our time sets out to disentangle these knotty issues. With his signature wealth of compassion and insight, C.S. Lewis offers answers to these crucial questions and shares his hope and wisdom to help heal a world hungering for a true understanding of human nature.

A serious book from a serious writer
This is a serious book from a serious writer and thinker who is too often pigeonholed. It is not an easy read, though. Long ponderous sentences. It’s a pretty intellectual book still. It’s more about the ideas than it is the way he organizes and presents them. It’s pretty ambitious and searching stuff from Lewis. Worth rereading.
Profound and practical
This book has really helped me many times. This book should be read by all!
Classic
One of the best books I've ever read on suffering (if not the best). Should be required reading for every Christian.
