Leonard Lockhard was the pen name of one or both of Charles Harness and Theodore L. Thomas. Harness and Thomas were each respected science fiction authors in the 1950s and also were licensed patent attorneys. Each of the "Leonard Lockhard" stories presents an amusing angle on U.S. Patent law. While best appreciated by those in the field the stories would be entertaining to anyone who enjoys clever fiction.
