This has to be one of the best books I have ever read! Brilliantly written!

This was so heart breaking, but I loved it all. Kept my Kleenex box near me. She proved to be very brave to endure all her pain. To know this does happen. Keep writing.

Heart warming. Heartbreaking.

This was one of the best books I have read in along time. You are pulled right into the characters.

This was an author new to me. Don’t know if I could get through another book like this. So well written, so heartbreakingly beautiful. But I prefer ones that are happily ever after, even though that’s a fairytale for the most part. This book will be unforgettable to most anyone who reads it.

This story draws you in and hold you to the very end. One of the best reads I've had this year. I'm not going to go into the plot, just going to say that it's worth allotting the time it takes to read it ... it's not your standard love story.

I know I'll be reading it again while I'm chilling on vacation this fall.

Very well written. Characters fully developed. I didn't anticipate the plot and the change of direction. When it manifested, it completely changed my preconceived opinion of this being a stereotypical love story. Stereotypical this book is not. However, it is a real tearjerker.

If you want a good read, and have a box of Kleenex handy, I highly recommend this book.

Without giving too much away, this story truly touches your heart. Claire's journey is so breathtakingly raw, beautiful, enchanting, and mesmerizing, that you will feel like you are right there in Boston with her. Nowadays, I find it rare to come upon novels that encompass everything a remarkable novel should have. However, this novel has everything you could ever hope for. And so much more! Believe me. Once you start, you won't be able to stop until it is done. Just be prepared for the emotional, life-changing, thrilling and down right beautiful story that is so wonderfully told in "The Promise."

I'm crying right now. This book was amazing.

It's been a long time since I stayed up until 4 am to finish a book. I thought it was beautiful story and can't figure out how someone could give it one star....
