An irresistible series about finding love in unexpected places by New York Times bestselling romance author Jean Oram. Come fall in love...
The prequel that started it all for lovers Devon and Olivia…
When worlds collide.
Devon Mattson has never been as captivated as he is by Olivia. She’s smart, witty and rich. But above all is the fact that even though they come from different worlds she understands him, his small town charm and his need for speed.
He knows that to be together they’ll both have to give up a lot, but he’s promised to always be there for her. Now, in college, and afterward too. Forever.
Olivia Carrington has never felt more alive than when she’s with Devon. She no longer feels the suffocating weight of expectations—just the freedom and support to follow her secret dreams and to become the person she’s always been afraid to be.
But when reality comes knocking their dream world begins to collapse. Will these two young lovers find their way back to each other or will their hearts become shattered beyond repair?

Novella leading into a series
Two people who should not be together. She’s super wealthy and her family has her life planned for her. She had other dreams, and she’s falling in love who is unsuitable, in her parents’ eyes. This is a quick reading novella, which leads into a full novel. The ending is a cliffhanger, so be prepared. It’s well written and the characters are likable. Although the couple does sleep together, there are no explicit scenes. I think this book can be read and enjoyed by young adults and older.
Heart breaking story!
This story broke my heart, I can not believe that Olivia would take the decision she did!
Once I started reading this I could not stop, I can not wait to read what happen with Devon and Olivia!
Loved it
I went into this prequel knowing the main couple wouldn't end up together. I didn't want to read leaving them unhappy and only read it because I wanted to get to "the good stuff" in the next book.
Oh my, poor kids. To fall so hard and still be pulled apart. What a great set up for the next book!
As usual the characters are well done and the dialog, situations and reactions all seemed real and well paced.
