Disappointing
If you're into historic war novels read this book, but don't read it for the romance. The story is well written but severely lacking when it comes to the interaction between Adele and Rafe. Descriptions of battle history and the different Houses goes on for pages but the couple's journey is just glossed over. It really leaves you wanting more and honestly it's a little frustrating. The reader is just supposed to accept that they fell in love without having covered the depth of their feelings. At the end of the book I just thought, what the heck? This could have been really good if the author has paid attention to all aspects of the story and not just the conflict of the houses.
