A beginner’s book - outdated
This is a pretty good book for beginners. The style of writing is very outdated. I think it’s a good book to read as a refresher. It only took me a week to read it. I could’ve read it in a few days really. It’s short and straight to the point but like I said it’s mostly for beginners, it’s very repetitive, and the style of writing is very outdated.
Nothing is quick and easy let’s be honest
I have been reading books similar to this one in the last few weeks. This one in particular let me down quite a bit. I was expecting extremely well thought out explanations and how to apply these “quick and easy” tips. However, I came out with the feeling of one of those 1-2 minute ads where the advertiser has this remarkable/easy way to do something but never actually gets to it unless you click on their link to a 3rd party website and pay extra for a subscription. Also the author tells short stories about his “students” but rather than going into detail about them he just inflated his old man ego ever more rather than trying to explain why and how these examples are relevant.
