The Quota

OMG wailed Kitty as she watched the contents of the coffee cup spread slowly over the keyboard. Not only was her thesis ruined, but the laptop was making threatening flashes. This was positively the last straw.What else could possibly go wrong this week?.
Sally heard footsteps and cringed back against the wall in fear. The heavy wooden door opened and a figure was silhouetted against the light. She couldn't make out the face but he was of stocky build and wearing some kind of combat gear. She desperately tried to make out some kind of feature so that she would recognise him again but the light was too dim. "Who are you? Why am I here? What are you going to do?" All these questions came tumbling out and Sally was just on the verge of hysteria. The figure said nothing, just turned and walked out.
