The racketeer
I have read all of John Grishams books and this on is certainly in the top 5 percent. His ability to tell a story continues to evolve. To call this book exceptional would be an understatement.
Disappointing
One of his weaker efforts
The Racketeer by John Grisham
This book really disappoints. I am a Grisham fan but The Racketeer does not seem as if he wrote it. Reading it is as if one is on a merry go 'round ~ and can't wait to get off. In my estimation the story and its characters have no redeeming qualities and neither does the book. No matter how boring or how bad a book is, I finish reading it ~ always hoping it will redeem itself in later pages. This one did not!
