Publisher Description

When a U.S. nuclear submarine collided with a Japanese fishing vessel in the spring of 2001, the story made national headlines. Navy Commander Scott Waddle, former captain of the U.S.S. Greeneville, was at the center of the controversy. This is the first-hand, never-before-published account of that fatal moment and the heart-breaking avalanche of events that followed.

A Great Book

This book is about integrity. I had the honor of meeting and hearing CDR Waddle speak. This story needs to be used as an example of true leadership. CDR Waddle, against all advice and without immunity, took the stand in his defense. Most defendants would never do this. He paid the price for an accident. Thank you for writing such a truthful and emotional account of your life. "Fair winds and following seas."
