Vera at her best, but sad to lose Holly.
The Rising Tide
Another outstanding book by this author that I greatly enjoyed reading! My favorite characters were Vera and her team members. I love that she can ask tough questions to powerful, wealthy people and hold them accountable regardless of their class or status.
Good read, no warm fuzzies
This newest installment of the world of Vera Stanhope is sad and depressing. I found no light at the end and felt deeply for the middle aged inspector, who has no life outside of her job. This was a difficult read, full of twists, turns and heaviness. A good read, but do not expect any warm fuzzies.
