The Science of Cheerleading
Publisher Description
The Science of Cheerleading is designed to help cheerleaders learn a little more about, well, the science of cheerleading! This isn’t a book to trick you into learning science. It’s designed to help you learn how and why certain cheerleading movements and positions work well (and how others can be improved).
We know that science is part of everything we do and love. People who study math, chemistry, physics, biology, and other science fields help us define and articulate rules (or scientific principles) so we can better understand how things work, and, how we can make things work better. Like forming a more solid pyramid or launching a higher basket toss with a precise (and safe) landing. Understanding the science, technology, engineering, and math inherent in cheerleading will help you achieve a greater understanding of cheerleading and, believe it or not, you will start to understand how the world works! The same world YOU will have an opportunity to shape.

science cheerleaders
This book is wonderful! I had to do a project on the science of cheerleading, and it was very very helpful. Great information and well explained.
Missing the target
This book does cover some basic terms and some interesting correlations between various aspects of science and cheerleading, it generally focuses way more on science and way less on cheerleading.
Topics range from very simple to incredibly complex. I would have enjoyed the book more if it had decided to be one or the other. One example was how they talked about the moment of inertia and then said explaining it was beyond the scope of the book.
