Publisher Description
It was the first book in the projected series and took Trot and Cap'n Bill under the sea where they had adventures with mermaids and other fantastic creatures. It was followed by Sky Island (1912) and then Baum returned to the Oz titles. He brought Trot and Cap'n Bill to Oz in the Scarecrow of Oz (1915).

Lovely, enchanting, inspiring
Baum's works convey such a love of life, brimming with good lessons and healthy thoughts. I love reading his works, and this book lived up to my expectations for his writing.
From Oz to Sea
My Grandmother introduced me to OZ before I saw the movie with the book she got as a child "The Scarecrow of Oz". I grew up with her reading all the OZ books she had and I eventually reading them to her. This is yet another wonderful story of two OZ characters and their adventures with another fairy race, in the sea. Completely loving and enjoyable read.
