Beautiful stories, great artwork
These are beautifully rendered just like the full sized versions I read as a kid. They seem to have updated the language in a few places to use more modern terms.like using pounds instead of quaint terms like bob (shilling). Love it! And it’s cheaper on iBooks than elsewhere. Wish they offered the entire collection.
Retranslated ! Save your money and buy the print version
These books have been retranslated! The iBooks description does not attest to that. I bought five albums, just to discover that they've all been redone... Just horrible. This isn't the Tintin I love and admire. Of course, I have asked for a refund. I am not a purist by any stretch of the imagination, but the translation is pedestrian at best, and robs the story of flavor and edginess that was the hallmark of some characters like Haddock. :/ Very disappointed indeed.
