The perfect feel-good, laugh-out-loud, steamy romantic comedy!
If only finding love came with an instruction manual.
Allison Harper thinks her boyfriend of eight years is going to surprise her with a proposal. Instead, he blindsides her by moving out and stealing her Nespresso machine. As her plans for marriage—and decent home-brewed coffee—are flushed away, Allison finds herself single again at thirty-five.
Even worse, it doesn't take long for her to realize that all the rules changed while she was out of the game. After all, the last time she was in the dating scene, flip phones were still cool—as if dating after thirty isn't hard enough.
Despite her single status leaning more toward Drinking and Alone than Netflix and Chill, she can't help but feel drawn to Tristan—the hottest new recruit at her CPA firm—except for the tiny, inconvenient fact that he's only twenty-six. Add to the mix the return of her longtime crush, Grant, and "It's complicated" doesn't even scratch the surface.
Well, nobody said love was easy. And love in the digital age? Impossible.
She may have the career she wished for, but now she has to navigate the scariest seas of all—a whole new generation of dating rules.
Will Allison learn to swim the treacherous waters of modern romance and finally get her happily ever after? Or will an unexpected surprise threaten everything her heart desires?

Praise for THE SECRET RULES OF ROMANCE:
"Absolutely loved this book!! Quick and easy read that you don't want to put down (and I'll pay for it in a couple hours when the baby wakes up). It's hilarious to read how true some of the experiences Ally has. I can't wait to read more of her books!!" - AJ Angsley
"I fell out of bed laughing! This book was a page turner! I couldn't wait to see how these series of events would turn up! (Or down). I would love to see second part of this story release." - Katy
"A modern day fairy tale that every girl can relate to. An easy and fun read that will give you cringeworthy reminders of your own not so glamorous past relationships as well as butterflies in your stomach and a nostalgic tear or two. You'll find yourself or a friend or several in the characters in this book and be reminded that life and love are a wonderful adventure and it's all worth it in the end." - J Ha
"Seriously fun reading and also therapeutic. As a mid-30s woman, reading about Ally felt like meeting another comrade-in-arms. I cheered her on until the last page. This book has the markings of a coming-of-age film that I can imagine watching with a group of pals or viewing alone when I need to reflect on life." - Esther Tang
"Allison Harper is newly single, thirty-five, and probably one of the most witty and relatable characters to ever believe her life was over because of a boy. She may not know how to find a husband, but she will effortlessly win your heart..." - Amanda K., Proofreader, Red Adept Editing

Fun, easy read!
I just finished this book within 2 days—I couldn’t bring myself to put it down! It was real, raunchy, and funny. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars was because the main character really irritated me sometimes because she was so irrational (but that was part of her character). I recommend this book to anyone who knows the pressures of dating after a long breakup, or dating when you’re feeling like your biological clock is ticking! Looking forward to more books by this author.
I tried to empathize with the protagonist, but the outrageous drama queen’s dislike of Marvel films and thinking being 35 is “old” and “decrepit” is just... ridiculous. I couldn’t stop rolling my eyes as I hoped for something redeeming about her as she complained...
This book had it all, it was funny, witty, intellectually stimulating, sad, and always left me wanting to know what was going to happen next...Overall great book.
