Joseph found a stone. When he touched the stone, a vision came with it. Joseph heard the word of God intertwined with hieroglyphic symbols. The young man took what he learned from the stone and built a doctrine. His beliefs got him kicked out of his own house and forced to live in indentured servitude until the age of twenty-one. Joseph traveled to the bustling city of New York where a policeman is killed at one of his sermons. With a small band of followers, Joseph Smith flees the city. As they make their way westward, they attract more believers until they reach the town of Effinburg where the lives of Joseph Smith and his followers are changed forever.
