A thrilling romance suspense! There is a devastating theme in the story of child abuse and its tragic effects. Not easy subject matter but one that creates a situation requiring a heroine of majestic proportions. That’s where the fabulous Kennedy comes in. She’s been turned into a shell by her past. You have to root for her when she takes on and takes out the bad guys. On her latest case she’s got a spectacular hero right by her side. The winsome FBI agent Landon. He’s a charmer and a good guy but a bit of a maverick. Always ready to defend the children. Yup, he’s a hunk! The two have amazing chemistry, professionally and personally. Sexy hot and intensely focused. The bad guys are out to stop their case and stop justice from being served. It’s a maddening ride all the way to the end with Kennedy ready to mete out justice in her special way and rid herself of her demons. Landon tries to stay on the right side of the law even as his feelings for Kennedy cause problems. I love this author’s detailed writing style and her stylized characters. This is absolutely terrific. A must read!
