Best of KL Slater
I've read 4 of her books... but it's been a while as the previous book I read I didn't think was anything special. I loved this book. Definitely some page skimming took place as many things were said more than once and with many words. But I highly recommend this book.
Some unneeded filler, but good!
A pretty good murder mystery! I was sucked in by the idea that it involved two children and it was very well written.
The ending kind of felt like an “Ah ha!” from a cartoon villain which took away from some of the realism though, and a bunch of B-plot drama kept pulling focus from the main story which was these two children accused of murder! That’s interesting enough on its own without needing the filler in my opinion.
I really enjoyed this book! I read it in two days. It was full of suspense and twist and turns.
