The fact that the author was present when the Titanic was lost made me mourn and admire all who went down with the ship more than ever. However this book made me question the fact that this young single man made his way onto a lifeboat. While children were left to die this man got onto a lifeboat taking up the space that could have carried two or three children to saftey
