Michelangelo was not only an accomplished painter, architect, engineer and sculptor, but he was also a successful poet. Throughout his lifetime, the artist wrote over 300 sonnets. Later in his life, Michelangelo had a relationship with poet and noble widow Vittoria Colonna. They wrote sonnets for each other and were in contact until she died. This book features the sonnets of Michelangelo Buonarroti translated from the original Italian into English.
