About the Book:

Just a high school student, Deborah dreamed of escaping her hostile home environment and seeing the world. A handsome senior provided that escape. After almost five years of marriage and the birth of their two daughters, they divorced. Determined to support her young girls and be successful in a male-dominated utility industry, she was a trailblazer with significant and unique challenges. Ultimately these challenges and her determination for success led to two untimely pregnancies, which she chose to end by abortion.

In the years that followed, the sacrifices Deborah had made on her self-centered, destructive path became too much to bear. She learned that each decision she made had far-reaching consequences and that the only healing for the pain and shame she endured as a result of ending two pregnancies was through God’s abundant grace. This true story offers hope for the psychological effects of abortion and encourages life-affirming options for others in a similar, unplanned situation.

About the Author:

Deborah Kirk was born in Charleston, South Carolina. She was a trailblazer for women and a successful inspector, auditor, supervisor, and manager for fossil and nuclear power plants. She founded and operated several successful small businesses providing audit and consulting services before retiring to North Carolina. Deborah is honored to be a servant of God and prays this book, in the right hands, might save a life—the life of an unborn child and the mother.
