The Sower Parable

The Parable of the Sower: The Effects of the Word of God

“Know ye not this parable? and how then will ye know all parables?” (Mark 4:13).

With these words, Jesus Himself showed that the parable of the sower is the key to understanding all the others. Without understanding it, no one can have a complete view of the program God has laid out in His Word for the believer.

In this book, Rev. Jay Werman explains the parable of the sower in its entirety. Each detail is studied in its biblical context to bring out the truth it contains, and the three Gospel accounts — Matthew 13, Mark 4 and Luke 8 — are brought together. Every key word of the parable is explained according to its context and theme.

In these pages you will discover:

How the seed of God’s Word works in the believer’s heart.
The process by which that seed grows until it bears fruit.
The truth contained in each part of the parable, explained in the light of all of Scripture.
Why understanding this parable is essential for spiritual growth, not just for knowledge.

Many believers live in spiritual confusion because they lack knowledge and understanding of the Scriptures. Today much of the teaching focuses on material prosperity rather than spiritual growth. This book returns to the essentials: the Word of God sown in the heart and the fruit it produces. It is a book every believer should read soon after being born again.

It is a solid Bible study for those who want to learn the hidden truths of Scripture and are willing to be taught.

“I praise my God for allowing me to publish this book and to share the wisdom and understanding that come from Him” (Matthew 11:25; Ephesians 1:17). — Rev. Jay Werman
