Lydia and Jonathan
Lady Lydia has been taking care of her late husband’s estate since his death. She is smart and meticulously running the estate until the new baron arrives. Her marriage was not a love match and not fulfilling for her. But she now has freedom as a widow. Lydia escapes also to run as a doe. She is a deer shifter.
Jonathan arrives after two years. He has been serving the human king in the war. He sees that Lydia has been running the estate most efficiently. She is also a wonderful person. He hints at a permanent relationship but she is reluctant. She was married to his three cousin. But he is not deterred. He is a deer shifter and a magnificent stag.
Good story with a HEA.

Fresh Shifter Regency Romance
I love this story of Lydia (widowed Baroness) and Jonathan (the new Baron). There is a sweetness and a terrific detail in this entry. I could feel and see the dancing at the balls. Stag and deer shifter forms are not among the usual books, so seeing how this specific type of shifter was a treat.
I enjoy reading the series and this author's works in general, but this book is especially good.
I recommend this for any who are looking for a satisfying shifter Regency romance.
