Galveston’s tragedy
I had no prior knowledge of the hurricane that just about destroyed Galveston. Our most recent one killed about 100 people…but 6-8000 people disappeared after the Galveston event. What those poor survivors went thru is unimaginable. I was not completely satisfied with ending of the book - it came abruptly and left strings dangling, but now I see there is a second book in this story - so it should help tie up loose ends. It was a very good book - kept my attention throughout wondering how they even survived in the first place.
