Through the story of an ordinary man unwittingly drawn into a senseless murder on an Algerian beach, Camus explored what he termed "the nakedness of man faced with the absurd."
Underwhelming middle, fantastic ending
4.0 A quick and easy read that drags in the middle but once you reach the climax at the very end of the book it becomes worth it.
Great short read
Strange story, stranger end.
I don’t get it, man was not right in the head. Viewed the world in a very skewed way and killed a man with no remorse. He went on a tangent at the end but the world in his eyes is so different from everyday people. Nothing matters because everyone dies? Thats a cop out. I just don’t get it. This is my first and only read. I will be reading more into this story because it interested me. But I don’t find the story compelling just the perspective.
