Publisher Description
In the picturesque hills of Sicily, Laila Fiorenza has been groomed to perfection by her aristocratic family. Her life has been a masterclass in elegance and refinement, with every step carefully choreographed to uphold the family's illustrious name.
But when her rebellious twin sister, Leila, abandons her fiancé, Nikos Pallis, a Greek billionaire, Laila's world is turned upside down. Her strict father, determined to preserve the family's honor, orders Laila to assume Leila's identity and meet Nikos in her stead.
As Laila navigates this elaborate ruse, she must confront the constraints of her sheltered life. Can this prim and proper princess adapt to the fast-paced world of New York City, where Nikos awaits? Will she be able to keep up the charade, or will her true identity be exposed?
As Laila becomes embroiled in this high-stakes deception, she begins to question the sacrifices she's made for her family's reputation. Will she find a way to break free from her predetermined path, or will the weight of her family's expectations forever define her?

Dialogue format is a crime against writing
I tried. I did. I could not handle 1) the contrived dialogue 2) the atrocities formatting of quotation marks. Quotation marks are only around the first sentence a character says so the reader doesn’t know when words are spoken and when it’s internal thoughts. I could not stick with a story that made me work so hard figuring out who is actually talking and when they are talking.
