Publisher Description
Sometimes you’re so busy writing other people’s stories that you lose the plot of your own.
This wasn’t how Kelsey Worthington’s day was supposed to go. She wasn’t supposed to be picking up Starbucks for her smarmy boss. She wasn’t supposed to get hit by a car that jumped the curb. And she certainly wasn’t supposed to wake up in a hospital room next to Georgina Tate—the legendary matriarch of New York City businesswomen.
Kelsey and Georgina couldn’t be more opposite. Kelsey’s a dreamer, a writer who questions her own skill. And Georgina is a confident businesswoman whose years of shouldering her way into boardrooms and making her voice heard have made her far too outspoken for the faint of heart.
But now, when Georgina’s failing kidneys force her to face some big regrets about the way she’s lived her life, the two women recognize they share a common thread. Maybe it’s time to confront a few things. They must ask themselves: What if I said yes to everything I’ve always said no to?
With Georgina as her companion, Kelsey soon finds herself doing things she’s never done before. Eating street food. Swimming in the ocean. Matchmaking for Georgina with the help of Georgina’s handsome son. And writing her own romance—both in book form and in real life.
So begins the Summer of Yes.

PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
This sweet, slice-of-life romance from Walsh (The Happy Life of Isadora Bentley) kicks off when overworked associate book editor Kelsey Worthington is hit by a curb-hopping car and taken to the hospital, where she meets Georgina Tate, the formidable owner of Tate Cosmetics. Kelsey sees herself in Georgina, a fellow workaholic who's isolated herself from the people she loves. After a day spent sharing a hospital room, she asks Georgina to consider whether her life choices were "worth it." Georgina, whose failing kidneys force her to confront her mortality, is shaken. The women agree to spend the summer reversing their regrets, returning to opportunities they've said no to and this time saying yes. A road trip to North Carolina, where Georgina's estranged husband and handsome adult son reside, reignites both women's lust for life—and may lead to love. Walsh delivers just enough introspection to make her heroines' journeys believable without slowing the pace. The romance, when it comes, is gentle and sincere rather than steamy. Readers looking for G-rated love stories will want to snap this up.

Summer of Yes!
This was Amazing!
This book follows the story line of two characters Kelsey and Georgina! Kelsey has been living in New York for a while and isn’t happy. She doesn’t want to do anything. She is scared of the ocean, hates dancing, only eats health and is forgetting about the things that matter most. Georgina on the other hand seems to have the PERFECT life. But don’t judge a book by it’s cover right? After a unfortunate accident
Kelsey finds herself in the hospital. She was hit by a car while walking on the sidewalk. This accident changes everything for Kelsey. The Nurses claimed that she was very lucky and that “She could have died”. Kelsey is immediately changed. She could have died? No one would remember her, she hasn’t even made a stand in the world or accomplished one thing that she could look back on proud. Sitting in a hospital bed beside a famous star couldn’t possibly change her whole life?
