Advances in technology have averted humanity's demise. Artificial Intelligence and nearly limitless fusion energy are common, but it was the discovery of Field Manipulation that allowed humanity to spread throughout and dominate Sol.

Yet one problem remained to be solved, and the powerful commerce syndicate put its best resources on doing just that. The creation of the first Field Manipulation Hyperdrive would allow them to monopolize not just the solar system, but the entire Milky Way.

However, numerous agencies across Sol intend to either prevent this or seek it for themselves. Only the exceptional talents of two researchers give this project any hope of completion. Their knowledge and skill will give them the edge they need to survive, but for how long?
