In spite of an increasing lack of knowledge of the Bible in Britain, the Ten Commandments are probably still the best known set of laws in the West. They lie behind our justice system and, in Christian society, form an outline of what God requires of mankind. They are of course, only an outline, or skeleton, that needs to be expanded—and that is just what this book does, as the extended Contents page shows.
