In Book 4 of the MURDER IN MARIN Mysteries:
News that elderly Henrietta Hammer has died, Sausalito’s retired fifth grade teacher, who once terrified her students including Sheriff's Detective Eddie Austin, newspaper publisher Rob Timmons and his assistant Holly Cross, is greeted with bemused nostalgia.
But Hammer, who was left a very wealthy widow by her enterprising late husband, was the target of every one of the town’s charitable societies none of which could afford to await her natural death.
It all appeared to be a perfect plan until the secret Mrs. Hammer kept for half a century inconveniently appears.

The Terrifying Teacher
Another “can’t put it down” masterpiece from Martin Brown. I have worked my way through 4 of these thrilling who-done-its. All have more twists and turns than a Formula 1 race track. This is a well researched tour de force and “tour” of the charm of Sausalito and southern Marin. Characters are well developed, drawing you in to their inner feelings, suspicions and observations. You feel you have a seat at the table with Rob, Holly and Eddie as they get to the bottom of The Terrifying Teacher’s demise. Take the time to enjoy another of Martin’s gifts to readers of thrillers!
