I didn't get what I want
I was hoping for a step by step guide of how to learn a language. Let's say I'm going to the Czech Republic and I don't know any Czech and there are no cognates to help me. What phrases do I need? What steps do I take to recognize patterns? I want the 2 week formula that he talked about when he said he can get an idea of how the language works and can communicate in 2 weeks. I wanted some tricks to use in my French classes with my students. One main thing I got was "emotional speaking" where students say a phrase over and over again in a different emotion each time. Say "what is that?" angrily, happily, with worry, as if you're cold, etc.
