“His novels are un-put-downable.”
—Steve Forbes, editor in chief, Forbes magazine
When New York Times foreign correspondent J. B. Collins hears rumors that an al-Qaeda splinter cell—ISIS—has captured a cache of chemical weapons inside Syria, he knows this is a story he must pursue at all costs.
Does the commander of the jihadist faction really have weapons of mass destruction? If so, who is the intended target? The U.S.? Israel? Or someone else?
With tensions already high, the impending visit of the American president to the region could prove to be the spark that sets off an explosion of horrendous proportions. Knowing that terrorist forces are already trying to bring down two Arab governments in the region—Iraq and Syria—can Collins uncover the truth before it’s too late? Or will the terrorists succeed in setting their sights on the third target and achieving genocide?
PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
Known for his globe-spanning thrillers (The Twelfth Imam), many dealing with the interplay between radical Islam and the West, Rosenberg has ripped a page from current headlines with a heart-stopping plot about the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL, also commonly called ISIS). When New York Times reporter J.B. Collins is given unprecedented access to world leaders and terrorists, it puts him in a position to advise even the president of the United States about looming chemical weapons attacks and a "third target" besides Syria and Iraq. The plot is executed with well-paced precision, includes a mysterious Israeli love interest named Yael, and has more than enough to satisfy those who love over the top action, down to the last shocking word of the book. Rosenberg's writing skills are impeccable, yet some Christian readers may wonder whether the grisly violence he depicts and the xenophobia it stokes contradict the Christian gospel messages found in the book.

The Third Target
Great, as are all of JR's books. Cannot wait to begin the new one.
Excellent
Fast paced and tense. What makes it so exceptionally interesting is its relevance to current world events.
Live Action
On a road trip from Indiana to Minneapolis I read this out loud to my husband to keep him awake. The story delivered and proved so believable that he asked, " It turns out OK , right? Otherwise he wouldn't be alive to tell the story."
This was informative and so well told. When is the next book out?!
