The Thirteenth Bell

There is one rule all must heed in the fog-clad town of Lowmere: Never count the bells, for when the thirteenth tolls, another soul is taken, never to be seen again.

So it has been for generations after a bargain was struck with the deity Malrik to keep the sea's destruction at bay, and so it will be for every generation to come.

But, alone in a cottage on a hill, outcast from her town, lives a young girl, Ada-the only soul to ever survive the bell's toll. A curse or a blessing? The town agrees on the former as the New Moon leaves another household with one less child.

From magical artifacts to dark minions that hunt her, Ada's journey is one of discovery and the will to change fate with the help of The Channel, which grants guidance and safe travels between her world and the spirit realm.

Marked by the past and chosen by the spirits crying out from the fog, it is up to her to save the lost souls from Malrik's grasp and break the curse plaguing her home.
