In 1944, Oakwood's town council makes a deal with an agent of the devil to protect their young men from WWII. But this protection comes at a chilling price: an annual human sacrifice.

Years later, in 1984, journalism student Jim Norton arrives in Oakwood to write about its peaceful facade. He soon uncovers a terrifying pattern of accidental deaths, leading him to a dark conspiracy that threatens his life. Will Jim expose the town's secret, or become its next sacrifice?
