The Truth Behind The Lies

Ebony Harris has seen it all in her young life. After growing up in Chicago, she is now attending college in Atlanta. Everyone knows her as Juelz’s woman, but Ebony knows she is every men’s dream. Unfortunately, Juelz does not appreciate her, takes her for granted, and is unwilling to commit. Even worse yet, he’s in Chicago and she’s in Atlanta. But, when she flies home to Chicago for summer break, everything in her life suddenly changes, but maybe it’s for the best? 


After a desire to test the waters leads Ebony to meet KJ, he seems perfect. He provides her with the security and attention she has been yearning for Juelz to give her. She believes KJ is perfect—until she is forced to face a life-changing event and realizes KJ isn’t as perfect as she thought. As she attempts to figure out “what” and “who” is the best for her life and who isn’t; she is set down a confusing path, lined with lies and deceit. Ebony has no idea that a blessing will soon emerge from the darkness of uncertainty. 


The Truth behind the Lies shares the story of a young woman named Ebony who is in search of the true meaning of “love” and what it takes to actually have love? She can’t seem to get what she needs from the men in her life, so she decides to explore her options in search of something new. Until testing the water results in Ebony having to determine what way her life should go.
