He has opportunity to save the Prince's life and then to defend his honor. Along the way he meets Raleigh and the two quickly become best of friends. Many twists and turns await as the author carefully and skillfully weaves in the historical settings of the times and of Europe, while maintaining the focus of a historical romance. Don't start unless you are ready to dive in.
Great story with plenty of twists and turns.
Captivating
Very enjoyable reading. At times I found myself almost feeling the pain and conflict that life's setbacks often bring. But the hope that we can have at the end beckons us onward! .....Sequel?
Reads Like a Classic!
This book is a slow starter, I will tell you that, but once I persevered through the beginning it grew on me and now I can't hardly put it down. It is not your fast action book, but delves into principles and the workings of the characters minds. That being said, it has plenty of action, intrigue, historical factoids, and even humor at times. A rare book with an old-fashioned "moral to the story". Highly recommend!
