The Two Sided Coin

John Jeffery Reese was a consistent source of pain to his family and his daughter. His own father described him as, “meaner than a junk yard dog” but his mother said he was “the most sensitive of all my boys.” He was an oxymoron and an alcoholic for most of his life and anyone that knew him was a victim of the paradox and of the disease as well.  Consider for a moment that God gives us our pain as a gift, tailored especially for us in order to shape us into the people we are to become and to fulfill a higher purpose for our lives.
