Finding love and Christmas magic
When Marissa Gracey’s best friend asked for a favor, it was hard to say know. Her friend was put in the hospital until she delivered her twins, so of course Marissa stepped up to help with Christmas the party. She’s an event planner after all, so Marissa cancels her Christmas vacation to step in and make sure the job is completed. Even though Marissa hates Christmas, she’ll do it somehow. So much bad things happened at Christmas, it’s hard to enjoy it. She lost her parents at Christmas time, lost her job, her brother away and a cheating boyfriend. Christmas is jinxed for her. Once she’s get to the ancestral home of the family she will work with, she’s in awe. It’s beautiful. She meets the grandson, Oliver Pierce, when she’s shocked to find that he’s her teenage crush. He broke her heart. He seems not to recognize her because she has filled out, not long legged and uni-browed anymore. Or so he said when she over heard him and a friend talking about her. She doesn’t remind him either. Once the chemistry hits it’s hard to not fall for his charm and good looks again. Oliver feels it to. Once his grandmother makes a mistake and assumes she’s his girlfriend, they play along because she just lost her husband and is fighting memory loss. What can happen? They work well together and try to make his grandmother happy. The two just might realize that maybe they were meant to be. Love at first sight? Is it possible? Will he remember that he met her before? What will he think? Will he be mad because she didn’t tell him? Will he let her walk away? Both have trust issues? Both will need to figure out what’s important to them. What do they want in their lives, and do they want each other? Will the party be successful? Will Marissa finally love Christmas? Miracles and magic. That’s what Christmas is all about. I was rooting for these two. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.
