Great tips and tricks from a pro!
As a novice uke player (9 years owning, 2 years playing) I was thrilled to follow the recommendation of a fellow ukulele player to read Ralph’s book in the hopes that it would help improve my playing in front of an audience. His stories are entertaining (of course!) and his humor is engaging. As it turned out, I was scheduled to play my first solo performance while I was in the middle of Ralph’s book, so I poured over his tips for preparing and playing in front of an audience. As it turned out, the gig was cancelled by the host, but it just gives me more time to prepare for my next “first time” solo gig. Thanks to Ralph, I fee like I can tackle anything, as long as I practice, prepare and don’t take myself too seriously.
