A good read with easy to love characters .
The storm is the perfect backdrop as there’s been so many these past few years. Enjoy your time reading it as much as I did! I savored it, reading it slowly and relished it.
Entirely unlikeable characters
Candy - whiny and simpering
Neil - misogynistic and overbearing
The characters were well developed, but developed in such a way that they were unbearable. The plot line was cute, but ruined by the characters. A strong man is great, but not one who thinks he owns “his” woman and has the right to tell her whether she can have a career, and any female character who says she “belongs” to a man and equates control with love is equally repugnant.
