After being rescued from lengthy prison term by the sheer grace of Mrs. Halston, Paul reunites with Sandy while at the same time realizing they are unlikely soulmates. Something he previously doubted could ever be possible. They find they actually have a lot more in common than previously realized (as they begin talking meaningfully for the first time) and even decide to take a long working vacation in Asia as a result. But will the renewed pressures of rediscovering unknown parts of each other's souls and facing an uncertain future in faraway lands be too much to prevent them from becoming marriage partners in addition to soulmates?
