The Unofficial Autobiography of Pinky Jasper

The City of Toronto has planned a celebration in honor of Oakwood Collegiate’ Gideon “Pinky” Jasper for his years of dedicated service to the youth of Toronto. The high school wresting coach has endured the sting of a number of previous accolades throughout his career, and now even recently more so in the light of the upcoming recognition ceremony, but he is determined to make right 60 years of wrong before he can accept his newest honor with any sense of pride.

Pinky’s quest for absolution will take him on a grueling cross Atlantic journey filled with heart-wrenching emotional confrontations, and painful remembrances of his cowardly acts of the past. From his time of 1936 Olympic fame, to being called into military action in the Hellenic army during WWII, and finally the eventual aftermath of the Greek involvement in the Cold War, Pinky had encountered scenarios whose ultimate outcome would dictate where this determined Jewish wrestler would eventually end up.

With the days being numbers can Pinky change the life that he had carved out for himself and others, or will the journey simply force him to accept the hand he dealt himself?
