Interesting theme but not a great cookbook
The commentary is interesting and take on olde English / European cooking is great. What I sorely missed was photography. Only each chapter had a single photo which was not directly related to the topic at hand. That I will have to google to see what some of these dishes are supposed to look like in the end, much less technique as they are prepared, is a disappointment.
However, the $0.99 price is appropriate.
Did no one proof this book?
It's hard to imagine how 14 pints of water added to the peel and pulp of 6 oranges will yield 6-8 jars of marmalade. Those are either really big jars or you are boiling this mixture for a long time. Also, it is an "entail" that needs to be broken not an "end tail" - that sounds painful.
