This epic tale continues in the second book in the Legendary Warriors series. In the first book titled “The Iron Warrior Returns” was Robert’s story, who is the legitimate heir of Penrith. The hero of this book is Robert’s half brother Piers who is illegitimate with many self esteem issues which is explained throughout this book as this is his story….

Piers has many self esteem issues and for good reason’s too, being that he has always been mistreated by others and even ignored by his own biological father, the former Earl of Penrith who had refused to pay King John’s taxes therefore so he was executed for being a traitor! His mother previously had been set aside for a noblewoman with a lot of vengenous in her heart. She abandoned Piers when he was eleven years old, yet gave him instructions of how to befriend the true heir until he became the true heir which he never understood. Especially since his father never acknowledged Piers as his son. He was treated like any other serf, perhaps even worse as he slept in the dirty barn with the animals often freezing and near starving. Yet he, Robert and the miller’s children Morwenna and Brian all hid when the Earl was murdered for his crimes. Now Lord Alfred, and daughter Gwendolyn were given Penrith castle and property.

Lord Alfred is the current Earl of Penrith and is charging an exorbitant amount of taxes to his people. Furthermore, he was forcing them to work his lands like slaves causing them financial hardships with no money for food causing them to starve. He kept his daughter and heiress Lady Gwendoline in the dark about his true nature, although she was starting to open her eyes. As she has always felt like a prisoner since her mothers death, even hiding her favorite pastime which is practicing her archery in secret.

Now her father was having a tournament where the men must use their physical skills in various games and the winner will win Gwendoline’s hand in marriage. All she wants is an equal partnership but all her previous suitors were men who have tried to court her but were only interested in Penrith and her dowry. Now she finds out her father must approve of her suitor no matter who wins and where her opinion won’t even matter. Plus her father has chosen a man who is very abusive and forceful so it doesn't matter who wins these contests of strength!Her father doesn't care how she is treated as long as he makes a strong powerful alliance that will benefit him! So basically she will be going from one prison to another! This all changes when she meets Piers of Grevershire.

Now both Piers and Robert have come here to win back Penrith, of course Robert doesn’t realize Piers is going. Robert and Piers have the same father. He thought this is a way to finally be accepted except he doesn't feel good enough. Yet soon it becomes Gwen that he hisnheart truly loves. He feels he will be rejected and hates him as soon as she finds out the truth. Also Morwenna sneaks in the castle and befriends Gwendoline but soon she is in danger and for Robert he must rescue her but is caught and tortured. The more Piers’s family is in jeopardy he must help but he knows soon Gwendoline will reject him just like his father. A man that never acknowledged him and allowed him to sleep in a dirty barn with the animals starving to death. Will Gwendoline reject him as every other person with noble blood has?

The Untamed Warrior’s Bride is the second book in the Legendary Warriors series and is another gripping tale that will absolutely blow readers away! It is about two people with many hardships growing up and how they learn to open their hearts and trust one another. It is so beautifully written from start to finish and an absolute delight to read! Bravo Michelle Willingham as I think this is one of your best books yet!
