A sudden storm hits, isolating the staff and vacationers from the outside world and impeding the arrival of the police. Unfortunately, Condie's characters are paper-thin, and she resolves the mystery with a series of implausible contrivances. This misses the mark.

it’s okay. it feels like there was no character mapping prior to writing - like when you’re a kid on the play ground and make up things about your pretend character on the spot that don’t really advance the plot but you want that to be a part of them.
It was so much! A story of loss, of friends, of hope.
I was pulled into this circle friends. I felt all the emotions Ellery felt. I had to stay up to get to the next chapter many nights. Well done!
Too long
Started out ok but then dragged on. Should have been written with half the number of pages. Never really picked up again and was boring to the end.
